I'm a big believer of education and know and definitely believe that knowledge makes. But the more I learn this hobby, the less I realize that I know. I think it's part of the "comes with much wisdom much grief" stuff.
Take for example Australia international stamps. During the weekend I soaked a bunch of these from Kiloware I had accumulated for some time. While studying Michel's Classifieds, I posted it could varieties with some values - from so-called "4 Koala emphasis". I decided to stick, a bit deeper with online resources and learned that the Australia Post since 1988 marginal / SELVAGE emblems (koalas and/or kangaroos) separate reprints has used. The first pressure has no marginal labelling, the second Koala logo, the third two koalas and so on.Sixth printing is characterized by a kangaroo, the seventh the eight by a kangaroo and a koala, a kangaroo and two Koalas.Faszinierende new piece of knowledge one day are useful.
2000 Australien.Mit modern Australian stamps SELVAGE / margin (as with 3.00 $ international post stamp) can tell what printing the stamp of dates. A Blanc margin is equivalent to first print. Most likely fakes are one of those areas where I am totally naive. The other day I was on some stumbled nice-looking old stamps stamp related online discussion. I thought these look nice... Wham!A few minutes they were later I as obvious fakes knowledgeable collectors... hope, that I knowledgeable enough to identify the most obvious crude forgeries. But most likely I could never tell apart, most Sperati or Spiro "Reproductions" from real; and classic US stamps are something, what I would not even car to collect with my current Kenntnisstand.Mir just adequate training. But every time I see or read on counterfeiting, reproductions, and so on. I learn some new stuff created.
A fake of the Finnish 1856 10 Kop oval Stempel.Ziemlich all details (crowns, Lion, stars, Posthorns, impression printed edition, postmark etc.) see wrong, when compared to real thing.I am definitely here learn more, and I have a feeling the most good things in life like, stamp collecting is a never ending journey with lifetimes of experience.Although, as a set, year or even a complete a country collection, complete, there are milestones to try something new and to lernen.Das is what collecting stamps makes fun - at least for me.
2010 Australia, colonial heritage m/s.manchmal pay good deeds in an unexpected way up.I have a small collectors like to colleagues, and he sent me unexpectedly some elements including this beauty. it definitely made my day!Just my 2 cents value. Please don't / opinions feel free to share your comments
